Registering with event iParts

All available events are listed on the Event Calendar and in the general events list (Events > Event list). You can browse this list or use the Search box to search for a word or phrase. Registrations appear in your cart along with any other items added, such as products and donations.

Troubleshooting: If double-clicking an event in the Event Calendar returns the error The resource cannot be found, ensure that the EventDetail shortcut is configured correctly in Site Designer > Manage Shortcuts.

To register for an event and functions         

Event and function registrations appear in the shopping cart. Registrants may continue shopping or proceed to checkout. The pending registration increments the cart counter at the top of the page, and it shows up in the cart along with any other items selected for purchase. Links in the cart let users:

□    cancel the pending registration, by removing it

□    click back to the event showcase (the page with both event details and the program of functions)

1.  Select Events > Event list or Search for the event.

2.  Select the desired event.

3.  Click Register. An Edit icon  appears below My Registration Status, for editing the registrant’s badge details specific to this event.

4.  Click the Edit icon to verify the registrant details (Display Name, Organization Name and Title, and Selected Address) on record for this event. Registrants can edit these details to add a missing name or title or override an existing one:

To override this default (Preferred Mail) address, select a different address or add one to the user’s account (click their name in the navigation and edit the addresses on the About tab).

Note: Any changes made to these registrant details update the Badges tab of the registration in Desktop. This information appears event reports that use badge data, and it affects this specific event only.

5.  (optional) Select any additional desired functions and click Continue.
The person must register for the parent event in order to register for its functions.

6.  If the event and functions have fees, click Checkout.

The shopping cart displays a running total of all selected fee-required events, functions, and other products.

Note: If there are problems with the selections (such as a function having undefined pricing or reaching its capacity), the cart prompts you to remove the item or return to the Event Showcase to adjust your selections.

To cancel an event registration

Users can cancel an event registration if they have not yet paid for it.

1.  Select Events > Event list or Search for the event.

2.  Select the desired event.

3.  Click Cancel Registration.

Canceling an event registration before checkout has the effect of canceling registration for any and all of its functions as well.

Tip: If the ability to register someone else is enabled, you can delete others’ registrations in bulk from the shopping cart.

To cancel a function registration

Users can also cancel a function registration if they have not yet paid for it.

1.  Select Events > Event list or Search for the event.

2.  Select the desired event and function.

3.  Click Remove from registration.
